35 years’ experience within the computer and printer industry.
The Brother QL-800 is a fast, PC-connected label printer designed for businesses, warehouses, offices, mailrooms, retail stores — or any environment where you need reliable, high-quality labels quickly and consistently. It’s a “plug-and-print” device: connect to a computer via USB, design labels using bundled or downloadable software, and print — no ink or toner needed, just drop-in label rolls.
Whether you want address or shipping labels, file folder tags, shelf/bin labels, barcoded inventory tags, name badges, warning labels, or continuous-length signage, the QL-800 handles it all with speed and flexibility. A built-in auto-cutter and support for both die-cut labels and continuous rolls give you freedom to print single labels or long custom strips — ideal for labels that vary in size or format.
Because it can print in both black and red (on supported DK rolls), you get extra flexibility: highlight warnings, priority labels, or special tags — not just standard text.
High-speed printing: Up to 148 mm/sec (≈ 93 standard address labels/min) — great for bulk mailing, dispatch, warehouse throughput, or high-volume labelling.
Flexible label/media support: Accepts Brother “DK” die-cut labels and continuous-label rolls, supporting widths up to 62 mm.
Automatic cutter: Built-in cutter for clean separation of labels — no manual trimming needed, whether printing single labels or long custom labels.
Good print resolution: Standard 300 dpi × 300 dpi; high-resolution mode up to 300 dpi × 600 dpi — sharp text, barcodes and graphics.
Two-colour printing (black & red): On appropriate DK rolls, the QL-800 can print in red and black, useful for warnings, priority signage, highlighting, or decorative labels.
Wide barcode & format support: Works with many barcode standards (Code 39, Code 128, EAN/UPC, QR, PDF417, DataMatrix, MaxiCode, etc.), plus support for custom text, numbering, mirrored/vertical printing — suitable for shipping, asset tagging, inventory, compliance labels, etc.
Plug-and-print simplicity: USB-connected, mains-powered, with drop-in label rolls — no extra maintenance like ink or toner, minimal setup.
